One of the most powerful truths you can grasp as a believer is this: healing is more about receiving than asking. It’s not about trying to get God to do something—He already has.
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus took stripes on His back for your healing. The Word says, “By His stripes, you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). That means healing has already been provided. It’s not something you’re waiting for God to do—it’s something you release by faith from what’s already in your spirit.
But here’s the key: if you don’t understand your righteousness in Christ, it can block your ability to receive healing. You may feel unworthy, disqualified, or like you somehow deserve to be sick because of past mistakes. But the truth is, none of us are perfect—that’s exactly why we need Jesus.
The good news is: Jesus was perfect for you. Through His sacrifice, you’ve been made righteous—not by your works, but by His finished work. He qualifies you to receive healing, blessing, and every promise of God.
So yes, there is a part you play: aligning your heart and mind with what He’s already done. It’s standing on the Word, knowing that your healing has been paid for.
God wants you to walk in complete wholeness, every day of your life. And because of Jesus, you can.
Is there an area in your life where you need to receive healing today? Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of your righteousness in Christ. And, pray this out loud:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for securing my healing through Your sacrifice. Today, by faith, I receive and walk in wholeness. I declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ and I release the power of the Holy Spirit to heal and I command (pain/sickness/the issue) to go and healing to flow.”
If you prayed that, we’d love to hear from you. Let us know how we can agree with you—or share your testimony in the comments to encourage others.
